I’ve always enjoyed putting pen to paper and/or fingers to keyboard to articulate my perspective and opinions on a myriad of issues. I believe that an objective, reasoned and factual argument is fundamental to civil discourse and key to being an effective communicator.
I have also become involved in many facets of my local municipality, and I currently serve as the Chair of the Town of the Blue Mountain’s Communications Advisory Committee. I find participating in municipal government to be an interesting experience. No other level of government is closer to the people, affecting every aspect of our daily lives. It also presents an opportunity like no other for individuals to participate in government and be heard by elected officials.
After my career in the public and private sectors, I’m enjoying my independence as a freelancer and taking a stand on some causes as well as commenting on issues important to me. Below is a selection of some of my writings.
